The map is on a full folio sheet (21.4 x 17.6") with French text giving a brief description of the islands, chief towns, population, government, and history. It shows good detail along the coastline with little inland information. The map is colored to show the possessions of the English, Dutch, and Spanish. Engraved by B. de Beaupre.

A crisp impression on a bright sheet with contemporary color, minor soiling in the left blank margin, and two minute holes along the centerfold in the blank margins.
