This boldly engraved map covers much of Europe, the Mediterranean, the Black Sea, Turkey, and northern Africa. It locates synods and ecumenical councils. The map extends to Cyprus and the Holy Land. There is an impressive decorative title cartouche at top right depicting religious leaders and their followers.

Condition: A

A crisp impression with contemporary outline color on a sheet with an elaborate coat of arms watermark. There is faint offsetting and minor scattered foxing that is primarily confined to the blank margins.
