A superb Art Deco map highlighting the culinary delights of Italy by artist Umberto Zimelli. Each region in Italy is identified and filled with all of the local food, dessert, and wine specialties. Below the title cartouche is a guitar player, and the Latin motto "In vino laetitia, in pane vita" (In the joy of wine, in the bread of life). The verso describes in detail the types of food and drink that are found in each region. Published in Italy by ENIT, the Italian State Tourist Department. This map was published in multiple languages and was designed to encourage tourism in Italy despite the fascist regime at the time.
