This miniature geography book contains six maps including the western hemisphere, eastern hemisphere, Africa, Americas, Asia, and Europe. In North America, place names are mostly limited to the east coast. Quivira is located in the west as is a long River of the West. Alaska is still misshapen but beginning to take its proper form. The eastern hemisphere map shows Tasmania still connected to the Australian mainland. There are 356 pages of text describing important places in the world with dictionary-style descriptions. Written by Richard Brookes and published by W. Palmer. Third edition. 24mo, hardbound in full original leather.
