A. Trips to the Homes of Movie Stars, by Richfield Oil Co., dated 1932 (3.3 x 6.0"). This early guide contains 22 pages of star addresses and 2 maps. Stars are listed alphabetically and by street address. An early guide and free oil company promotion with some advertisements including on the rear cover: “Before you start for Movie-Land!...fill up with Richfield Hi-Octane." No past sales records or institutional listings on OCLC. Condition: Internally clean and bright. Minor wear to paper wrappers. (A)

B. Souvenir Map and Guide to Starland Estates and Mansions… A Fascinating Trip Through Movieland Summer Issue - 1948, by Wesley G. Lake, dated 1948 (17.7 x 10.6"). This classic Beverly Hills- Hollywood tour map includes hundreds of addresses to stars homes including Fred Astaire, Alfred Hitchcock and Ed Sullivan to name a few. Includes a list of “Famous Night Clubs and Cafes” at top right. Accompanied by the rare original blue and orange envelope with title Guide and Map with Home Addresses of Movie Stars (4.3 x 7.0"). Condition: Code is for the folding map, which is fine. Paper envelope has a small tear and is very good. (A+)

C. Complete Guide Movie Stars Homes and Where to See the Stars - How to Get There Souvenir Maps, by Mitock & Sons, circa 1949 (27.2 x 16.1"). This souvenir pamphlet features three maps showing the locations of Hollywood stars in Brentwood, Bel Air, and Beverly Hills. Beverly Hills is the largest of the three maps, listing 113 celebrities including Fred Astaire, Ingrid Bergman, Bogart and Bacall, James Cagney, Charlie Chaplin, Marlene Dietrich, Katherine Hepburn, three of the Marx brothers, Vincent Price, David O. Selznick, Barbara Stanwyck, and Elizabeth Taylor. Tourists could track down Gary Cooper, Joan Crawford, Henry Fonda, James Stewart, and Orson Welles in Brentwood. Among the celebrities on the Bel Air list are Bing Crosby, Rita Hayworth, Alfred Hitchcock, Burt Lancaster, and Maureen O'Hara. The pamphlet includes an additional list of big names not identified on the three maps, helpful hints for places to go to see the stars, and a diagram locating stars' beach homes on the Santa Monica ocean front. Condition: Issued folding with some minor pencil notations from use and several tiny splits at the fold junctions. (B+)
