A pictorial map of Fort Warren situated on Georges Island in Boston Harbor. The fort was under federal management until 1957, at which point they handed control of the island to the Metropolitan District Commission who opened it up to the public in 1961. The map served to orient the viewing public to the points of interest on the island in an engaging way. Surrounding the fortification are numerous illustrations documenting its history including "Only Battle in George's Island History, 1776", "Murder in the Cistern, 1893", and "The Lady in Black" to name a few. Text on verso guides visitors to the 41 points of interest around the island . Signed in ink by author Edward Rowe Snow.
