This nice map of Texas includes several early settlements including Dallas and Fredericksburg. Indian tribes, forts, and early county development are noted. This is a later example on the map, with county configuration current to 1851, as indicated by the appearance of Freestone, Kinney, Webb, and Uvalde. A vast uninhabited region lays between the established counties and the Ilamo Estacado.
