This uncommon map of Texas focuses on the early oil and gas industry in the state. Each field and refinery is located and identified by symbol in red overprinting. The various pipe lines between the fields and refineries are also shown. A few fields in south-central Oklahoma are included along with insets of the panhandle and southernmost Texas. Not shown here is Kenedy County which was formed in 1921, but Hudspeth county formed in 1917 is located, suggesting a circa date around 1918-20. Folds into paper wrappers (4.2 x 6.5") with a gusher illustration.
