A fascinating plan depicting the battle of Nieuwpoort on July 2, 1600 between the Dutch and the Spanish. Two stages of the battle are depicted one atop the other, with the Dutch army under Maurice of Nassau and Francis Vere at left and the Spanish army under Albrecht of Austria at right. Blank verso.

Issued folding and now flattened and backed with thin tissue. There are a few short fold separations and one small tear that have been closed on verso with tissue and hinge tape (at top only). Light scattered foxing.
