This decorative map of the county of Erbach includes the towns of Heidelberg, Miltenberg, and Aschaffenburg. The Rhine, Neckar, and Main rivers are all depicted. The map is beautifully engraved and embellished with two cartouches, a compass rose, and an elaborate coat of arms. Engraved by Petrus Kaerius (Pieter van den Keere). French text on verso. Published between 1639-49 in either Nouveau Theatre du Monde or Nouvel Atlas ou Theatre du Monde.

Full contemporary color on a sturdy, supple sheet with one tiny crack along an extraneous crease along the centerfold that has been closed on verso with archival tape. There is minor toning and marginal soiling.
