Surrounded by engravings of four important Italian observatories at Pisa, Padua, Milano, and Bologna. The latter locates the non-Ptolemaic constellations of Colomba, the 12 of Keyser & Houtman, Quercia di Carlo, and Scuto Sobieski. Surrounded by engravings of four important observatories at Copenhagen, Greenwich, Cassel, and Paris, each with astronomers on the roof viewing through telescopes. Both maps have a legend that gives the brightness of stars from magnitude 1 to 6. Drawn by G. Zuliani and engraved by G. Pitteri.
