This elegantly engraved map shows the Archduchy of Austria. It centers on Vienna and identifies several towns and cities including Passau, Linz, Graz, and Poson/Presburg (Bratislava). The map extends to include parts of the Archduchy of Salzburg, the Duchy of Styria, and present-day Slovakia and Hungary. There is nice topographical detail of the mountains, forests, and rivers, with the Danube especially prominent (although its course is somewhat distorted). A decorative title cartouche appears at top, with distance scales to the left and a color-coded key at right that identifies surrounding principalities.

A crisp impression with contemporary outline color on paper with a large coat of arms watermark. There is a hint of toning along the centerfold and the sheet's edges, otherwise near fine.
