An attractive and uncommon map of the Middle East, including Cyprus, a portion of the Persian Gulf and the north shore of the Red Sea filled with details of Old Testament locations, including Babel and Nineveh. There is a coat of arms at upper left and a cartouche at upper right showing the expulsion of Adam and Eve from Paradise by the Angel. This is second in the series of six Biblical maps by Nicholas Visscher translated by Moxon.

On watermarked paper with toning and soling along the left and right sheet edges. Several short edge tears within these two sections have been backed with archival tissue on verso. The rest of the map is in fine condition.
