This scarce Italian map of the Persian Empire is filled with detail and stretches from the Black Sea to the Indian Ocean. The Caspian Sea is shown in an odd, round shape that extends more east to west than north to south. The decorative title cartouche features a Persian map and weaponry. Engraved by George Widman.

A nice impression on a sheet with a medallion watermark, light foxing and soiling, and an archivally repaired tear that enters 3" into the image at bottom center.
