This GLO territory map shows the progress of the surveys, which was mostly taking place in the southern portion of the territory. It delineates a portion of the proposed Northern Pacific Railroad. County configuration is current to 1879 with 13 counties, including the newly formed Cassia. There is little detail at the center of the territory aside from a few rivers. A legend at right identifies land offices, county seats, railroad limits, Indian reservations, and more.
