This striking pictorial map shows Midtown Manhattan in an axonometric projection that gives it a fascinating three-dimensional look. The map features remarkable detail of the Midtown skyline, with numerous recognizable skyscrapers and New York City landmarks, including the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, Rockefeller Plaza, the New York Times Building, Grand Central Station, the New York Public Library, and more. Central Park is also rendered in excellent detail. An inset at top left depicts Madison Square Garden and the Garment District. According to a note to the right of the title, "The original artwork, started in nineteen hundred sixty-one, was gradually updated following the greatest building boom in history." Compiled, prepared, and published by Anderson Isometric Maps.
