A handsome map depicting Northern Wales, filled with charming pictorial topography describing forests, cities, and mountains, including Snowdown Hill (Snowdon), the highest mountain in the country. The map is adorned with cartouches flanked with putti and mermen, two coats of arms, and deftly engraved sailing ships. French text on verso, published between 1646-49.

A nice impression with full contemporary color, light toning, scattered foxing, and a minor damp stain in the bottom blank margin. A centerfold separation at bottom has been closed on verso with paper tape.
