Attractive map of the island with north oriented to the left. The map provides detailed information of the mountainous country. The legendary Adams Brug (Adam's Bridge or Rama's Bridge) is clearly shown linking Mannar island off Sri Lanka with Rameswaram island of the coast of India. A small compass rose and title in a simple cartouche make a handsome composition.

A sharp impression on a bright sheet with the watermark of three crescent moons. There is very light toning along the centerfold and a small area of paper weakness in the image at bottom left resulting in one minute hole.
