This colonial map is boldly engraved and extends to include all of the Caribbean Islands. The colonies of North and South Carolina and Georgia extend to the Mississippi River, and the Southwest is comprised of New Navarre and New Mexico. The Northwest is labeled New Albion, above which is the "Inlet discover'd by Martin d Aguilar," suggesting the possibility of a Northwest Passage through some rivers in Canada that flow toward the inlet. Quivira is in the area of Montana or Wyoming with the label R. Missouru nearby, although no river is indicated. Frontier forts, rivers, and some topography are identified. Western Canada is completely blank, has no coastline, and is labeled Parts Unknown. Aside from the title cartouche, the map appears to be identical to An Accurate Map of North America Drawn from the Sieur Robert, with Improvements, engraved by George Rollos circa 1759.
