This scarce pocket map was published by this little known firm based in Hartford. Counties are delineated by hand coloring and includes good detail of cities and towns, roads, rivers, lakes and more. A profile of the recently completed Erie Canal is shown at bottom. The map folds into red gilt-stamped leather covers titled "N. York." Both references are for the 1832 edition of the map.

Issued folding with light offsetting and minor foxing. Trimmed to the neatline all around and backed with tissue to repair a number of small fold separations and a 4" edge tear at left. Covers are worn with a few small abrasions.
