This detailed and colorful map locates twelve different geological types in the state through the use of color and pattern. An inset continues the main map revealing the geologic detail of the panhandle, and an extensive legend describes each geological type. The map is based on the U.S.G.S.' preliminary map of 1932 along with data from numerous other sources (including somewhat larger maps that were issued by the university in 1916 and 1919). Prepared by E.H. Sellards, W.S. Adkins, and F.B. Plummer within the University of Texas Bureau of Economic Geology. A handsome map of the state with fine coloring.
