This unusual World War II era map was created by Ting Leong and is filled with small illustrations demonstrating Panamanian culture and historical events. The Canal Zone is depicted at center with text on verso touting it as a "major highway on the road to Japan. V-J Day will come sooner because the United States completed the Panama Canal." The map was intended to be mailed with an address section on verso along with a history of the Panama Canal and a detailed inset map of the Canal's path from Colon to Balboa. Distributed by the Panama Mobile Force and Security Command. This example was mailed from Lieutenant Alice Featherstone to Mary Featherstone in Syracuse, New York.
