This finely engraved copper plate map covers Chili and Argentina from La Rioja to Tierra del Fuego. There is good detail of the region around Buenos Aires and the Rio de la Plata. S. Yago (Santiago), Val Parayso, Cordova, Mendoca, and La Concepcion are among the cities identified. An inset at bottom right details Tierra de Fuego and the Straits of Magellan. Mountain ranges and volcanoes are shown, and a large note indicates the Pampas. There is a decorative scroll-style title cartouche.
