This detailed and elegantly engraved map of Portugal features a decorative title cartouche embellished with vignette of a moored boat and the royal coat of arms. B. Portugal, by Charles Smith, from Smith's New General Atlas, dated 1808 (10.6 x 14.0"). This handsome atlas map divides Portugal into its historical provinces. There is fine detail of the topography, roads, and towns and cities. Condition: Contemporary color on a lightly toned sheet. (B+)
