Great map of the whole of Switzerland based on the cartography of Gerard Mercator. Graphically depicting the mountainous region and densely engraved with information including even the tiniest villages. Embellished with a strapwork title cartouche and two scale of miles cartouches, one of which includes a vignette of two gentlemen. French text on verso, published between 1643-50.

A dark impression with full contemporary color on a watermarked sheet with light printer's ink residue and some extraneous creasing along the centerfold.
