This large map gives excellent detail of the lakes, rivers, and topography of Switzerland. Villages, cities, castles, abbeys, and baths are identified as well with an extensive key at bottom right. A note on Switzerland and its Cantons is at top right. The rococo cartouche features numerous coats of arms and the dedication cartouche is surrounded by acoutrements of war. The vignette adjacent to the title is William Tell shooting an apple off his son's head. Created by Abraham Rouvier, engraved by Thomas Kitchin, and published by John Rocque.
