A. Boussole P les Vents, by Anonymous, circa 1740, hand color (6.8 x 5.6"). This decorative engraving depicts a 32-point compass rose with wind directions. Windheads adorn the corners. Condition: Issued folding with some printer's ink residue. (A)

B. De la Sphere. Figure LXV, by Alain Manesson Mallet, from Description de l'Univers, circa 1683, black & white (3.8 x 5.6"). This interesting miniature engraving features a compass and 32-point compass rose. Reference: Pastoureau, MANESSON-MALLET I A. Condition: Light soiling with a small worm hole and damp stain at top right. (B+)
