A very fine, large leaf with text printed in black and red and one illuminated initial beautifully hand-painted in red, blue, green and gold. The missal is a service book containing the texts necessary for the performance of the Catholic mass (including chants, prayers, and readings), together with ceremonial directions.

A bright sheet with light soiling and remnants of paper tape along the fore-edge of the sheet on recto.
