This is an excellent series of detailed topographical and geological maps of Aspen and its environs and is a much sought after work on this now elite area of Colorado. The maps and geological cross-sections detail the topography and geology of Aspen, Tourtelotte, Hunter Park, Lenado, Aspen Mountain, and Smuggler Mountain. Includes the Aspen Special Sheet that details the town and nearby mines. Comprised of a title page, table of contents, a legend detailing the topography and geology of the Aspen District, and 27 lithographic plates. Elephant folio. Contents are incredibly clean and crisp with just a hint of pleasant light toning along the sheet edges. A withdrawn stamp for Dickinson College is located on the front pastedown. Covers have only minor wear.
