This delightful cartoon map was created by Claude Shafer and is filled with whimsical figures and illustrations of famous sites. Serpent Mound, the birthplaces of President Grant and Thomas Edison, the "rubber city" of Akron, President Warren Harding's tomb, and many more sites are shown. The main cities and roads are shown to aid in navigation. The map was included in Claude Shafer's Cartoon Guide of Ohio, which was part of a series of cartoon guides of various cities and states published by J.J. Augustin in New York City. The guidebook is not included with this example.
