This charming pictorial map was designed by Alfred E. Taylor. It focuses on the roads in Scotand with tiny vignettes of "romantic places" (namely historical sites and places of importance). Quotes from various Scottish authors are scattered throughout the map. This map was created for Esso, previously known as the Anglo American Oil Company, a foreign affiliate of Standard Oil.
