This lot of uncommon miniature woodblock maps were published in Mela's Pomponii Melae De Orbis Situ Libri III, with maps prepared by Heinrich Petri. They depict northern Africa including Libya and Egypt, and feature convoluted mountain ranges and large lakes as is typical for the maps of this time period. The maps include large latitudinal and longitudinal scales, and three of the four maps have a key at bottom.
