This beautifully engraved sea chart covers the western coast of Africa from Libreville, Gabon to Lobito, Angola, and locates a number of place names and shoals along the coastline. North is oriented to the left by two compass roses capped with fleurs-de-lis. The decorative title cartouche at top left features two figures and wildlife.

Condition: B

Trimmed to the neatline all around and backed with old paper to create new margins, with a tiny portion of the top corners of the border drawn in facsimile. There is minor foxing and light toning.
