This superb pictorial map superimposes over 150 images over an outline map of the world, with only major cities named. Each image is numbered and identified in an accompanying 4-page index. Each sheet measures 7 x 8.7", and the intent was for the receiver to assemble the sheets into a world map, and then follow the numbered images from 1 to 151, identifying each as they went along. In this manner the receiver would see something special from every corner of the world and learn more about different countries and cultures. This educational "game" was illustrated by Jan Wijga (1902-1978), a Dutch graphic designer who created advertising posters for KLM, Heineken, and Amstel, as well as illustrated several children's books. Printed by Luii & Co. in Amsterdam. The map sheets are accompanied by the 4-page index and original envelope with instructions.
