Fine handsome map of the Roman Empire, extending from North Africa to Great Britain, and east to the Balkans. Embellished with a beautiful strapwork cartouche flanked with mermen. Engraved by Abraham de la Plaetsen.

Condition: B+

A sharp impression on a bright sheet with a large coat of arms watermark, contemporary outline color in the map and later color in the cartouche. There is very light toning along the centerfold and a few small worm holes in the image at bottom.
