This map of Livonia was drawn by Johannes Portantius and is believed to have been based on the lost maps of the region by Marcus Ambrosius and Caspar Henneberger. This map was trimmed from a folio sheet with two other maps. Latin text on verso.

Full contemporary color on a sheet with the crossed arrows watermark commonly found on Ortelius maps. There is light soiling and a few short cracks at top right that have been archivally repaired. The top and right margins have been extended at bit to accommodate framing.
