This miniature map of Hungary is centered on the Danube River and extends to include the southern portion of the Slovak Republic. The map depicts key topographical features and major towns, including Vienna, Budapest (Bude) and Belgrade. Pierre Duval was Nicolas Sanson's nephew and pupil. He published a wide range of atlases and individual maps including a fine miniature world geography with many of the maps based on Sanson.

A nice impression with contemporary outline color in the map and later color in the cartouche, on watermarked paper with a hint of offsetting. There is light toning and foxing along the edges of the sheet.
