This miniature map of eastern Europe extends from the Baltic Sea to the Black Sea, and depicts major towns and key topographical features. This is the second state with some nomenclature added. Pierre Duval was Nicolas Sanson's nephew and pupil. He published a wide range of atlases and individual maps including a fine miniature world geography with many of the maps based on Sanson.

A nice impression with contemporary outline color in the map and later color in the cartouche, on watermarked paper with a stain in the top border. There is light toning and dampstains along the edges of the sheet.
