This leaf was published during the transitional period when the new technology of printing with movable type was combined with the more labor intensive methods of hand painting. It was issued in one of John Versor's commentaries concerning Aristotle's political theories. Versor was a French Dominican, philosopher and frequent commentator on Aristotle's philosophies. A prolific writer, WorldCat shows 372 different works by Versor, mostly in the period from 1480-1530.
