This facsimile of Waghenaer's influential pilot-book is part of the Theatrum Orbis Terrarum Series of Atlases in Facsimile Second Series - Volume III. First published in Leiden in 1592, the Thresoor was Waghenaer's follow-up to his groundbreaking De Spieghel der Zeevaerdt (1584-85), incorporating up-to-date navigational information in a new oblong folio format. It includes 22 black & white double-page charts and an introduction by R.A. Skelton. 372 pages. Oblong quarto. Hardbound in tan cloth boards with gilt insignia on cover, title on spine, and an illustrated dust jacket.

Contents are very good with some faint toning. The rear hinge is starting. Covers have minor soiling. There is a large chip out of the spine of the dust jacket with an associated tear.
