This scarce and unusual German map of the United States features the newly acquired Louisiana Territory. Ohio is in an odd shape adjacent to the Ohio River, and Indiana encompasses all of the Northwest Territory. To the west of Georgia is a large unnamed territory and Florida is divided between East and West. Indian tribes, forts, and a few bounty land grants (Illinois and New Jersey) occupy the map west of the Appalachian Mountains.
