This brightly colored pictorial bird’s-eye view was created by City Design in San Ramon. It shows the entire Bay Area with Oakland in the foreground and San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge in the background. The map highlights illustrations of a variety of businesses, mostly marine, points of interest, and city skyline views. The circa date is inferred from the advertisement for the Tedrick-Higbee Insurance Co. which became the Bay Risk Insurance Brokers, Inc. in 1991. Despite the recent publication date, we found no past sales results or institutional examples on OCLC. City Design produced several other maps of northern California including Palo Alto, Los Gatos, and Silicon Valley.
