This is an excellent example of the height of decorative Dutch map-making. It is embellished with two royal crests, the arms of seven noble families, seventeen colleges of Cambridge University, and two blank shields. The map itself is filled with detail of the countryside including forests, parks, cities and villages. Dutch text on verso, published in 1647-48.

A nice impression on a sturdy sheet with a hint of toning. There is moderate soiling and tiny chips and tears along the edges of the sheet, well away from the image.
