This exquisitely engraved battle plan is from Pufendorf's chronicle on the Northern Wars and military campaigns of Sweden's King Charles X. The plan depicts a battle in the Schleswig-Holsetin region along the Stoer River. Very decorative with an army scene and weaponry in the foreground, title cartouche, and a picture-frame style border. Drawn by Count Erik Jonsson Dahlberg, an architect and draftsman who served as an engineering adviser to Charles X and gradually rose through the ranks in the military to become director-general of fortifications for the Swedish crown.
