An attractive plan showing the fortified city of Hamburg at the confluence of the Alster and Bille rivers. The map extends to include the surrounding countryside with an additional fortified wall to the east. 36 important buildings are keyed to an index at bottom. Beneath the plan is a beautiful panoramic view taken from across the Elbe River with the taller buildings identified. Further decorated by a title banner in both German and French and two coats of arms for the city.
