Crisply engraved, reduced version of Mercator's handsome map of Crete with small inset maps of the islands of Corfu, Zante, Milos, Naxos, and Scarpanto at top. It is decorated with a strapwork title cartouche and a moiré patterned sea. French text on verso.

Condition: B

A dark impression that is a bit uneven with light toning and a small worm track in the image at top.
