This densely engraved map of Corsica is filled with topographical detail, rivers, roads, and a few cities, primarily along the coasts. The map includes the islands of Elba, Pianosa, and Montecristo, as well as a bit of the coastline of Tuscany. The table at top left lists the number of armed men to be found in each district in Corsica. The superb title cartouche appears on a stylized shell with a man shearing a sheep while another serves him a platter of fruit. Engraved by Georg Friederich Lotter.
