This strongly engraved map includes all of Scotland, the Orkney Islands, and the New Hebrides, here called the Westerne Iles of Scotland. The map is filled with minute detail and hundreds of place names. The cartouches are richly embellished with Mercury, coats of arms, and putti.

Condition: A

A fine, dark impression with a 2" edge tear at left that has been professionally repaired and light foxing that is mostly confined to the blank margins.
