This charming and very detailed map of Scandinavia and the Baltic identifies numerous place names, rivers, mountains, and forests. It also shows the "Maelstroom", a notorious current, in a swirling pattern off the Norwegian coast. A small compass rose is placed in the center of the Baltic Sea, and a beautiful, decorative title cartouche completes the composition.
