This handsome map of the Hesse-Kassel region roughly centers on Kassel and locates numerous towns and cities, including Marburg, Fulda, Gottingen, and Northeim. The Anderloon Forest is to the southwest and Thuringia is to the east. There is fine topographical detail throughout, especially with regard to the forests and rivers. An elaborate cartouche at top left encloses the title and distance scale. French text on verso, published between 1613-16.
